Good morning everyone today’s post is on these The Ordinary products that I have been using for the past year. I was skeptical at first as to whether or not they would work. But at such affordable price I had nothing to lose apart from being disappointed.
So I decided to try out the Caffeine Solution and the Vitamin C Suspension at first. Now after three kids and the lack of sleep, mama’s out there I am sure you can relate. I have dark circles and puffiness under my eyes, hence the reason for purchasing the Caffeine Solution. As for the Vitamin C Suspension, I have heard so many good things about using it on your face that it was about time I tested this out for my self.
CAFFEINE SOLUTION
So let’s begin with the item that got me hooked on this brand, yes it was the Caffeine Solution that started it all. Like I mentioned earlier I suffer from puffy eyes and dark circles. As far as I was concerned I didn’t think it would work, as most professionals have mentioned that to really get rid of eye bags you need surgery. Well I really didn’t want to do that, I am totally afraid of things like that, hence opting for this non-invasive option.
Why it’s Cult
The caffeine solution is Eye-deal (sorry for the pun) for waking up sleeve-deprived eyes. This lightweight serum contains an extremely high concentration of caffeine and EGCG (a potent polyphenol found in green tea). This provides my tired delicate eye area with a powerful blend of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. Studies have shown that using both these ingredients can reduce dark circles and puffiness.
In the past I have tried putting cold teabags on my under eye, as well as a cold teaspoon to reduce the puffiness. But none of these things worked, I have also tried creams in the past and again same no results. So I wasn’t holding my breath when I purchased this Ordinary Company Caffeine Solution. Like with most of my previous creams I did not see any results straight away, but I didn’t want to discard it within the first month. As with everything I gave it a good six month, and I could see some improvement. I guess that is better than nothing, and this is the first serum that has made some difference. I use it twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing before I go to bed.
I doubt that it will completely get rid of the puffiness or the dark circles under my eyes, but I am very happy with what it has achieved so far. I can safely say I am content with the results thus far.
VITAMIN C SUSPENSION
Next and onto the Vitamin C Suspension, I really wanted to try this out. I have a few pigmentations and wanted to start off with something that is a little gentle on my face.
Why it’s cult
This suspension is supposed to tackle uneven skin tone and visible signs of ageing. The serum contains a concentrated blend of Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid to brighten, smooth and plump up the skin. At such an affordable price it is a must to have in any skin care collection.
So I also apply this serum twice a day, in the morning and before bed. I have noticed the difference in how my skin looks and feels. The skin is much more brighter than usual and feels smoother too. The texture of this Vitamin C Suspension is a little grainy, which doesn’t bother me at all. Once it is on I leave it on for a minute or so before applying my make-up. If you are on the hunt for a Vitamin C serum, well then no look further than The Ordinary. Again at an affordable price it is absolutely brilliant, I am on my third one now.
