So far for the month of May these products have been my favourite everyday go to!
To start with Chanels Coco Eau De Parfum my all time favourite and signature scent. I always go back to it time and time again. Coco is warm, elegant, beautifully blended, easy, and has a fruity floral smell thats so fresh. There’s nothing funky, bizarre or tough about it.
MAC Prep and Prime fix+ is a staple at the moment, I like to spray it all over my face just before applying my make-up. The make-up glides on with a dewy finish and leaves the skin glowing and smooth. It works well for dry or oily skin, you could also use it on eyeshadow brushes making the eyeshadows pop, it makes the pigment truly come through.
MAC Face and Body Foundation, I love this foundation as it is so light. I know many of you might want more coverage from your foundations but for me this is all I need, not to say that my skin is absolutely perfect!
It is perfect for using when you are on holiday, put some SPF and a little bit of Face and Body to give you some colour and your off.
All time favourite concealer has to be the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, I’m sure it is the same for many of you! What more can I say than the fact the it is just awesome, so smooth and light.
Growing up in the nineties with the thin brow fashion trend did not help me one bit. I plucked the hell out of my brows. I had very thick brows to begin with, genetically blessed with being very hairy. One positive side to that is I have a good set of hair on my head, but on the flip side a huge amount of hours has been spent waxing and having laser hair removal. I have sparse areas on my eyebrows and to fill them in I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel. This instantly gives the appearance of fuller, thicker brows. The Tinted Brow Gel has a non-greasy, Botanical enriched formula which conditions the brows whilst holding unruly hairs in place. With a lightweight gel consistency, it defines the brows without flaking or smudging.
I use the Mac Ebony Eye pencil to shape the brows ever so slightly, and then I line my eyes with it too!
For my lips, I have recently purchased the Chanel Rouge Coco Baum which I have been loving, I sometime just wear it on its own. It is subtly flavoured leaving a soft shine, making my lips feel smooth and hydrated.
Straight after this is, on goes the Chanel Rouge Coco Adrienne nude lipstick. Adrienne is a creamy pale beige with a slight hint of pink. They are rather easy to put on, feels moisturising, light weight and non-sticky. If you want to you can apply in layers for a more intense colour, but in my opinion they are best worn sheer.
On top of that goes my Burberry Kisses Gloss in Nude Beige lipgloss. I absolutely love this and wear this all the time with a brown lip liner. Just the right shade of nude for me.
Nars Casino Bronzer, gives a slight shimmer to my cheeks with a hint of colour. In my opinion the shimmer is subtle and illuminating in just the right way and not too OTT like some others.
Finally for my hair, Kérastase Discipline Fluidissime Spray is a multi-tasking, leave-in product that will protect your hair against heat damage, improve shine and suppleness and add movement, leaving your hair looking lustrous and full of vitality. Boasting a pro-keratin formula, it will also help to strengthen and repair your hair, whilst protecting against frizz and humidity. I’m always straightening or crimping my hair so this is a must have, although there are occasions when I spray the product and just leave it naturally wavy. It smells so good and it doesn’t leave the hair feeling sticky like some products do.
