Good afternoon everyone, today’s post is a beauty one. I wanted to share with you all my six go to products that I use on a daily basis for a minimal makeup look. The lipstick that I am wearing is just for the pictures as I don’t wear a bold lipstick regularly.
THE ORDINARY CAFFEINE SOLUTION
Right lets begin with the first product I use on my face first thing in the morning after my shower. Yes it this caffeine solution from The Ordinary and I have been using for over a year now. I was skeptical at first as to whether or not it would work. But at such affordable price I had nothing to lose apart from being a little disappointed.
So I decided what the hell lets give this Caffeine Solution a try, mama’s out there I am sure you can relate. I have dark circles and puffiness under my eyes, hence the reason for purchasing the Caffeine Solution in first place. Now that I have been using it for some time I have actually seen some improvement specially for my puffiness under the eye. I love using this product and will continue to do so.
SHISEIDO VITAL PERFECTION
Next and onto my Shiseido Vital perfection with SPF 30, as I am getting older I have become more serious about skin care. I absolutely adore this brand and this is my second product that I apply to my face. What I love about it is that it is very light in consistancy and that it includes SPF. What’s not to love right?! No white streaks on my face like some other SPF products used to leave or that ashy look either. Oh and it also smells wonderful, not only does it leave my skin feeling moisturised, it also leaves it smoother and firmer!
MAC FACE AND BODY
Moving on and onto my foundation, for those days when I feel like wearing make-up I use my M.A.C Face and Body. This is so light, it gives a sheer coverage and that’s how I like my foundations. Just a hint of colour to even out my skin tone. It leaves this amazing dewy finish as I don’t like that powdery look and all done. I have been using this for nearly fifteen years now.
CHANEL QUAD
Then I apply a wash of colour over my eyelids and my go to palette is this Chanel LES 4 OMBRES quad. My quad palette features the most advanced innovation to enhance creativity. Its optimised formula unites a soft texture and an easy application to achieve maximum colour that is consistent, luminous and lasts all day long. The shades I have gone for are matt as thats what I prefer, but they have a variety of effects in the form of satiny, iridescent or metallic. I use one shade and gently wash that over my eyelid ever so slightly as I don’t want an intense look.
RIMMEL BLACK LIQUID EYELINER
My winged eye liner is a must and I use the Rimmel black liquid eyeliner. Again I have been using this product for years and it’s second nature when I use it.
NARS CONTOUR BLUSH
Last but not least I use my NARS Contour blush in Gienah, I use the darker shade. This just adds some warmth to my face and is the perfect pop of colour on my cheeks and around my hairline too and is the finishing touch to my daily fresh face. Like I mentioned earlier I decided to wear a pop of red on my lips for the pictures. I am wearing the shade Lady Danger from M.A.C.
