Essentials For Fall 2023

Good afternoon everyone, today’s post is on my essential fall/autumn pieces. I don’t know about you but I have those go-to pieces that I always tend to wear around this time of year.

Let’s begin with what I am wearing, this outfit is based around this classic Burberry trench. First up I decided to opt for my high waisted black velvet trousers which are ideal for this time of year when the weather is a little chilly. Next I chose to wear my white oversized white shirt with the big collars. I then grabbed my knee high croc effect boots, tucked in my pants and then put on my trench coat. This just elevates my outfit and makes it look very put together. Finally finishing off with my black quilted suede bag and black Ray-ban sunglasses.

TRENCH COATS

Here are a few of my current favourite trench coats, let me know which one you prefer? A trench is my go-to for layering and can be dressed down or up depending on the ocassion.

KNEE HIGH BOOTS

Now it’s up to you which knee high boot you like whether it’s a chunky boot or a heeled boot. I alternate between the two depending on my look. If you opt for a chunky pair why not team them with a mini skirt, of course on those milder days. Also a maxi dress works equally well with a chunky boot!

STATEMENT KNITS

On those colder overcast days, why not consider a mood-boosting statement knit. I get it it may not be to everyones taste. But those of us who are bold enough to step out of our comfort zone and embrace it, well there a plenty of mood-boosting statement knits to get our hands on! They can be layered smoothly over shirts or other knits too. Here I have also included some neutral ones too.

HIGH WAISTED LEGGINGS

I do love a pair of high waisted leggings to put on when doing the school run. But they don’t always have to be dressed down. I tend to team mine with a pair of black knee high heeled boots, a plain coloured knit sweater and then grab a coat or my trusted trench and I am all set. For those relaxed morning a pair of chunky boots works really well, teamed with a long knit sweater or cardigan layered over a roll neck top. Finished off with a coat or trench.
